The two major indexes of consumer attitudes, those from The Conference Board and the University of Michigan’s Surveys of Consumers, were mixed in March. The Conference Board’s Consumer Confidence Index rose a couple points, while that from UM moved slightly lower again after a substantial fall from end-of-February readings in the research group’s mid-March report….
