UM Consumer Sentiment Holds Steady Mid-January, Conference Board Indexes Ticked Down In December

Consumer sentiment remained virtually unchanged in the mid-January reading by the University of Michigan Surveys of Consumers, ticking down only marginally from 99.3 in December, its highest point in months, to 99.1.
