PCE Price Index Rose Again In August As Consumer Spending Remained Strong, GDP Growth 2Q-25 Raised

The price index tied to the Bureau of Economic Analysis’ monthly report on personal consumption expenditures rose slightly again in August according the BEA’s “Personal Income And Outlays” report for August, released Sept. 26. The full PCE Price Index rose 0.3% month-over-month in August, pushing the 12-month increase up to 2.7% from 2.6% in July….
