Menu Prices Continued To Increase At a Steady Pace In August, Full-Service 12-Month Increase Hit 4.6%

Menu prices, what the Bureau of Labor Statistics calls the food-away-from-home price index, rose 0.3% in August, the third monthly 0.3% increase in the past four months. This pushed the 12-month increase for the measure up to 3.9%, up from 3.8% in July and the highest year-over-year gain for menu prices since April this year….
