As we’ve noted for months, consumer sentiment as tracked by the University of Michigan’s Surveys of Consumers has been running at pandemic lows because of surging consumer inflation. The Sentiment Index fell to a new low in November but rose somewhat in the mid-month December reading to 70.4 from 67.4 in the final November tally….
