Conference Board’s Consumer Confidence Index Drops In August

All three of The Conference Board’s consumer indexes fell in August. The Consumer Confidence Index fell to 84.8, down from 91.7 in July. The group’s Present Situation Index dropped sharply to 84.2 from 95.9.
